** All Rules below are at the discretion
of the channel owner, and may be changed at any time by Drifter **
All recent changes are indicated for convenience. Removed
portions are marked by Strike Outs and added parts are
marked by Boldface.
User rules:
I) General Advertising, or links that are meant to offend users
are not allowed, and offenders will be removed from chat.
II) No Trolling. (Trolling is defined as interefering with the
channel or conversation in order to agravate or annoy other users).
III) English is a preferred language in this channel. However;
other languages are allowed, provided it is not being used to
circumvent other rules.
IV) Freedom of speech is generally allowed in the channel.
However; abusive speech and language, or attacks specifically aimed
to cause distress to other users will not be tolerated. Additionally, excessive swearing will not be tolerated. Please keep the topic of conversation clean.
V) The Channel OPS reserve the right to remove any users which
they deem to be disruptive (using common sense). Access to this
channel is a privilege, not a right.
VI) Users who report false abuse claims in the channel will be
removed from chat.
VII) Advanced Users: Autoresponder scripts (those which trigger without being
asked to) and scripts designed for spamming or flooding purposes are
NOT Allowed. Also, channel notices are to be used by authorized staff only!
Channel Ops Rules:
I) People with access to add users: No more users are allowed to
be added without the express permission of Drifter.
II) Users with access are not allowed to ban users without
provocation.
III) If Any ops in the channel remove bans not set by them, then
their access will be removed.
IV) When dealing with users evading bans by using multiple IP's,
this should be reported by 1 representitive to #feds.
V) Abusive Channel ops will be removed from the channel.
VI) Breaking any of these rules, or acts seen as an abuse of access will result in your automatic
removal.
Please keep in mind that because of how
IRC works, it is nearly impossible to have a complete listing of
every possible rule that may be enforced, and it is possible to be
banned for something not on this list. However, if the offense
isn't severe, OPS are instructed to give you a warning first
before kicking/banning. Common sense should dictate what is and is
not safe to do. If anyone has a problem or sees someone violating
the rules, they are advised to contact an OP. If you are banned,
you must talk to the person who banned you to solve problems.
Problems with OP's should be brought to the attention of Drifter
by mailing Drifter2003@gmail.com. May these policies bring forward a truly enjoyable and fun community to all!
