This page is designed to help people connect to our chat services, which are on a system called IRC. IRC is a system that is somewhat similar to other chat services you may already use, such as MSN, Yahoo, or AOL chat.
Note: Before you connect to our chat services, we reccomend that you take a quick look at our Rules before continuing. Doing so now will make you aware of the expectations of conduct while in this community.
For those of you who are already familiar with the IRC network and already have access, you may join our chat on irc.netgamers.org, channel #ChillSpot.
For those who are not yet familiar with the IRC chat system, we offer 2 main ways to connect to us: Connection with a web client, and our own downloadable client. Both processes are available and described in greater detail below.
Clicking this link will launch our web based IRC connection. This connection method is the easiest and reccomended for first time or novice users. You will NOT be required to install any programs on your computer, providing you have a recent version of java, made by sun microsystems. If you find that this method doesnt work, try downloading the latest java HERE, and then restarting your browser.
ChillSpot IRC Client
Clicking this link will immediately start download of our mIRC based client. This program allows greater functionality for more advanced users, but requires knowledge of how to install a program downloaded from the internet. The program will automatically connect you to our chat services when loaded.
Notice: This program only operates on Windows systems. If you have another Operating System, it is expected that you find a program that works for your computer, or you can use the Com-Unit. At this time, we don't offer help with other operating systems, sorry for the inconvenience.
